    “Vital signinstabilities were considered present at discharge if the most abnormal value for a particular vital sign met any of the following criteria within 24 hours of discharge: temperature ≥37.8 °C, heart rate ≥100 beats per minute, respiratory rate >24 breaths per minute, systolic blood pressure ≤90 mmHg, or oxygen saturation <90 %.


    Individuals with two or more instabilitiesshould likely remain in the hospital for continued treatment and observation inthe absence of extenuating circumstances.”[/b]
